Here are just a few of Mr. LoPiano's recoveries for his clients:
- Mr. LoPiano obtained a $5,000,000.00 medical malpractice jury verdict in Hudson County against several doctors at Bayonne Medical Center for causing the death of a 46 year-old wife and mother as a result of undergoing an elective, and otherwise routine, lung biopsy that was contraindicated based upon her underlying condition. The verdict was one of the highest in New Jersey in 2010 and the case was featured in the New Jersey Law Journal, as well as on the front page of the Jersey Journal.
- Mr. LoPiano also recovered $1,900,000.00 for a 19 year-old girl who was struck by an underage drunk driver and suffered injuries requiring multiple surgeries. In that case, Mr. LoPiano was successful in recovering money from the homeowners insurance policy for the adult who purchased the alcohol consumed by the underage drunk driver. This case was also featured in the Jersey Journal.
- Mr. LoPiano also recovered $1,400,000.00 for the death of a 37 year-old wife and mother in a medical malpractice matter involving the hospital nurses failure to timely and properly respond to the womans rapid heartbeat after admission. This matter was referred to Mr. LoPiano after several experienced medical malpractice attorneys turned it down.
- Mr. LoPiano successfully resolved a case for a client for $245,000 where the clients former attorney settled her case for $13,000. Mr. LoPiano won a Motion he filed with the Court requesting the Trial Court to rescind the $13,000 settlement as it was inadequate to fully and fairly compensate the client for her injuries.
